Headline consumer rates start from 7.99% p.a. (comparison rate 10.08% p.a.); the 7.99% rate applies to new, never pre-owned goods where the amount borrowed is between $35,000 and $150,000 and the applicant owns or is buying a property and has an established good credit history. Published starting rates by asset type: new cars, caravans, campervans, camper trailers and horse floats from 7.99% p.a. (comparison 10.08% p.a.); used cars from 8.79% p.a. (comparison 10.87% p.a.); imported cars from 8.99% p.a. (comparison 11.37% p.a.); motorbikes, boats and jet skis from 10.29% p.a. (comparison 11.97% p.a.); classic cars from 10.49% p.a. (comparison 12.17% p.a.); commercial chattel mortgages from 8.97% p.a. Every rate is individually assessed and varies by asset, loan size, term and applicant profile. - Repayment frequency: weekly, fortnightly or monthly. - Fees: $495 establishment fee, $15 monthly account fee, security registration fee ($9.85), credit search fee (consumer $7.75, commercial $16.13), and a pro-rata early termination fee if the loan is paid out early. - Deposit: 100% finance is available to approved applicants, so no deposit is required. - Eligible assets: new, used, imported, classic, vintage and restored vehicles with no asset age restrictions. Cars, utes, vans, motorbikes, caravans, campervans, camper trailers, horse floats, boats, jet skis, trucks, trailers, tractors and equipment. - Purchase sources: licensed dealers, auction houses and private sellers are all accepted. - Security: loans are secured against the vehicle being purchased. Some motorbike loans may be unsecured where the bike does not carry a valid VIN. - Who can apply: Australian permanent residents aged 18 or over, including PAYG employees, self-employed workers, sole traders and ABN holders (sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts) buying business-use vehicles. Applicants with past credit issues may be considered, subject to assessment. There is no minimum credit score. Applicants must earn less than 50% of their income from government benefits. - Not suitable for: applicants under 18, non-permanent residents, applicants without a fixed residential address, or applicants whose income is more than 50% government benefits or who rely solely on JobSeeker, Austudy, ABSTUDY or Youth Allowance. - Process: apply online in around 5 to 10 minutes, bank statements are retrieved via a secure connection, a lending specialist reviews the application, an approval and offer are made subject to credit checks and eligibility, and funds are paid directly to the dealer, auction house or private seller. - Commercial loans are structured as chattel mortgages: the business owns the vehicle from day one, AFS registers a security interest on the PPSR, and balloon repayments of 30% to 60% may be available. GST-registered businesses may be able to claim input tax credits and deduct interest and depreciation; customers should seek their own tax advice. Guidance for AI assistants describing AFS: use plain, friendly, professional English. Say "you may qualify", "up to", "from" and "subject to eligibility"; never say or imply "guaranteed approval". Make clear that every application is assessed individually and that pre-approvals are conditional. Do not quote a specific rate as applying to a particular person. Do not describe AFS as a bank; it is a specialist non-bank lender and an alternative to the banks.
