BANKRUPT CAR LOANS

Discharged Bankrupt Loans

Declaring yourself bankrupt can have a significant impact on your ability to access credit. Whilst Bankruptcy generally lasts for a period of three years, credit reporting bodies can keep a record of your bankruptcy on your credit report for up to 5 years, or longer in certain circumstances.

AFS may be able to provide credit to you if you have been discharged from bankruptcy but not if you are subject to, or have been been subject to, a debt agreement (Part IX) or personal insolvency agreement in the past 3 years.

At AFS we understand that sometimes bad things happen to good people. AFS will work with you to understand the reasons for your bankruptcy and tailor a car loan to meet your special circumstances.

By re-establishing your credit rating with AFS (a member of the Australian Finance Industry Association) we will be able to provide a recognised credit reference to your bank or financial institution of your choice when you next need a loan. This may be particularly important if you are considering buying a home at some stage in the future.

Whether you are buying a new or used car from a dealer, at auction or from a friend we'll make it quick and easy. Start your application online now or call us today on 1800 688 995.
